Fees are quoted in writing after a scoping conversation. Discovery notes are fixed-fee. Projects are fixed-fee or capped. Travel, when a visit is agreed, is billed at cost. There is no day-rate surprise after the proposal is accepted.

The unit and battery limit, the service from the services list, the data you will provide, the document you will receive, the fee, and the assumptions. If an assumption fails — missing measurements, no permit to test — we pause and rewrite the scope rather than stretch the original fee in silence.
Reply to the proposal from the organization that will be invoiced. Work starts when that acceptance and the first data are both in hand. Invoices follow the milestones written in the proposal, typically start and delivery for a project.
